Canada Houseboat Vacations is located in Nester Falls, Ontario in the beautiful Lake of the Woods. With more than 14,552 islands and 105,000 km of remote shoreline it is one of the most picturesque areas in North America. Lake of the Woods is an anglers paradise and is well known for its excellent fishing and home to many fish such as lake trout, norther pike, perch, lake sturgeon, largemouth bass, walleye and sauger. Canada Houseboat Vacations have a number of boats to enjoy your vacation. The boats are larger than most providing lots of space. The smaller of the boats is 52' x 12' that can sleep 8 people with 2 double beads and 5 single beds or a different configuration with 4 double beds and 2 single beds. The largest of the boat is 65' x 20' that features 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 7 double beds and 6 single beds that will sleep up to 12 people. In addition each houseboat is equipped with:

• marine radios
• TV
• VCR
• oven/stove
• fridge/freezer
• microwave
• cooking utensils
• BBQ
• 6' freezer
• water slide (not on 52' model)
• swim platforms
• upper deck

Boats are available for rent for 3, 4 and 7 nights.

Previous experience is not required. You will be provided instruction on operating the houseboat, safety requirements, how to read maps, buoys and channel markets. For the first time someone may join you down the lake to ensure you are comfortable with the houseboat. You must be 21 years of age or older to rent or operate the houseboat.

You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

All boats are equipped with generators for 110 power.

What to Bring

Linens are not included however if more convenient for you linen packages which include sheets, towels, face cloths, pillows and blankets are available at $20.00 per person.

There are a number of additional costs that you should budget for such as fuel. Costs will depend on the duration of your trip and the distance traveled. Each operator has different policies and should be discussed directly with them.
