What to Bring

Planning your trip well will ensure you have an enjoyable vacation. Remember, you may not have access to a grocery store once you have set sail. Each houseboat rental company will provide different items on the boat. For example, some provide linens while others don't. Consult with the company you are renting from for their complete list. If you have any questions, be sure to contact them; they will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Pack light but smart: clothing for all weather conditions, sunscreen, hats, and comfortable water shoes. Don't forget your camera!

Essentials include personal toiletries, medications, life jackets (though rentals usually provide them), flashlights, and a first-aid kit.

For entertainment: books, games, fishing gear, water toys, and binoculars for wildlife viewing. Most houseboats have basic kitchen supplies, but bring your favourite cooking tools.
