Sioux Lookout Floating Lodges

Sioux Lookout Floating Lodges is located in the Sioux Lookout region located between Thunder Bay and the Manitoba border. Here you will enjoy the many lakes and rivers in rugged Northernwestern Ontario. Here you will be able to enjoy the wilderness surrounded by forests and beaches while swimming and experiencing some of the best fishing around.

Sioux Lookout Floating Lodges offers a choice of three spacious boats from the largest boat at 68’ followed by the 60’ and finally the 50’. The largest, 68’ includes 10 beds, increased privacy, 2 bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. All boats have fuel tanks for up to 630 – 690 liters (140-150 gallons).

All rentals also include a 16’ Lund fishing boat with a 15hp motor.
 

Previous experience is not required. You will be provided instruction on operating the houseboat, safety requirements, how to read maps etc.

You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

What to Bring

Linens are not included and you are recommended to bring your own pillow, sleeping bag and a blanket.

There are a number of additional costs that you should budget for during your vacation and will depend on the duration of your trip and the distance traveled. Each operator has different policies and should be discussed directly with them. Some costs will or may include:

**Although the boats can sleep many, for every adult after six there is an additional charge of $175 USD.
