Situated on the beautiful Shuswap Lake in the town of Sicamous is Twin Anchors Houseboats offering luxury houseboats since 1977. Known for their exceptional service and attention to detail, Twin Anchor Houseboats is the perfect choice.

Shuswap Lake, located in south-central British Columbia is at the midway point (approximately 5 hour drive) between Vancouver, B.C. and Calgary, Alberta. Known for its recreational activities you will enjoy hundreds of kilometers of stunning shoreline and scenery, beautiful sandy beaches and numerous facilities and services.

Due to the popularity of Shuswap Lake and the houseboats it is recommend to reserve your houseboat 6 months to a year in advance.
 



Houseboats:

Twin Anchors Houseboats have a large fleet of six luxury models to choose from to meet your needs that can sleep from 6 to 24 people. All houseboats feature great luxuries and amenities to ensure you enjoy the perfect vacation. Each houseboat includes:

  • Fully-equipped kitchen that includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, utensils, dishes, glassware, pots & pans, coffee maker, etc

Rental Periods:
  • 3 night packages: departs Thursday, Friday or Saturday
  • 4 night packages: depart Sunday, Monday or Tuesday
  • 7 nigh packages: depart Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday

Experience Required:

Previous experience is not required. You will be provided instruction on operating the houseboat that will take about 45 minutes. There are manuals available on their website as well as some instructional videos that are recommended to be reviewed before your arrival. Taking the time to review the materials will ensure you are well informed and prepared with any questions. All captains must be 19 years of age or older and hold a valid driver’s license.


Licensing:

You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

Linens:

Linens are not included however if you require them the cost is $20 per bed, per day, each bed sleeping two people.

There are a number of additional costs that you should budget for during your vacation and will depend on the duration of your trip and the distance traveled. Each operator has different policies and should be discussed directly with them. Some costs to will or may include:
