About This Company
Three Buoys Houseboats is located in Temagami in the heart of the Nipissing District, one hour north of North Bay. The area is a well know tourist are known for cottages, canoes, and houseboating. Lake Temagami extends almost 50km (north/south) and approximately 35km (east/west) with over 1,200 islands. The area is ideal for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation exploring the spectacular wilderness and 4,800 km of shoreline.
Houseboats
Three Buoys Houseboats offer one model available for rent, 40’ Sportcruiser that sleeps 10. Each houseboat includes:
- Private stateroom
- Sleeping loft
- Fully-equipped kitchen that includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, utensils, dishes, glassware, pots & pans
- Bathroom with toilet, shower, tub and sink
- Furnace
- Dining area
- AM/FM/CD player, USB port, speakers throughout

Rental Periods
- 4 day mid-week
- 3 day weekend
- 4 day long weekend
- 7 day weekly
Experience Required
Previous experience is not required. You will be provided an orientation and a temporary boater’s card for the length of your trip. Minimum age of 21 with a valid Driver’s License to rent a houseboat
Licensing
You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

Electrical Outlets
As with many houseboats there is no household-type electrical power available for small appliances. If you need to charge any devices a cigarette lighter device is available. You will need to bring your own inverters.

No pets allowed due to health regulations.
Additional Costs
There are a number of additional costs that you should budget for during your vacation and will depend on the duration of your trip and the distance traveled. Each operator has different policies and should be discussed directly with them. Some costs to will or may include:

- Pre-Board night before - $99
