Fish and Duck Houseboats is located on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia, on Sproat Lake. With only a short drive from Port Alberni Fish and Duck Houseboats is conveniently located. There is a lot of activities to have fun with and considering the crystal clear warm waters of Sproat Lake swimming and other water activities will be top of the list.

Houseboats

Fish and Duck Houseboats has a large fleet of houseboats (22) offering a number of models that can accommodate from 8 to 15 people. All houseboats come equipped with the comforts of home including full kitchen with appliances and utensils, bathrooms, BBQ and slide. Depending on the model you choose you can also experience a hot tub, TV, DVD, stereo and more. Be sure to check out their website what is actually included in each model.

Experience Required

Previous experience is not required. You will be provided instruction on operating the houseboat, safety requirements, how to read maps, buoys and channel markets. For the first few minutes someone may join you out of the harbor to ensure you are comfortable with the houseboat. Anyone operating the houseboats/ski boats be 19 years of age or older

Licensing

You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

Pets are allowed however no more than two and a pet fee of $75 will apply. You will need to pre-register your pet at time of booking.
